Portraiture

Some portraits from last weeks portraiture classes. I decided to experiment with graphite pencils and water. Of course based on these horrible scans it just looks like I gave a monkey a pencil and set it loose. The color I got from biefang watercolor brushpens. They leak, all the time so I just got a brushpen full of water and dabbed the outside of the pens and colored with that.
I know, Macguyver & Martha Stewart eat your hearts out ;P

Typical Friday night, staying in and drawing... I suppose it's not an all around bad thing.

Adventures in curvature.

Did the Egyptian piece for the Doodles and More Sh!t blog. And decided to play around with She Hulk cause she's one of my favorite characters.

Figure Drawing @ MOCA

A couple of friends and I went to the MOCA yesterday to draw. Turns out one of the models was Dan, the same figure drawing model I had throughout my time at Miami Dade College. Needless to say the nostalgia came pouring in, as this was; in fact, the first live model I ever drew. Unfortunately we did get there for the second half of the class so we only got to do 3 poses. Oh well, at least we made it. I can't wait til school starts, I'm definitely going to be attending FEWS this time.

Self portrait with my sidekick. It's not exactly finished, I mean, I'm digging the flat aspect of it but I think I want to work it up a bit more. Please feel free to throw some suggestions out there.
